Facebook small LogoAs a Director on the Board, reviewing documents and being prepared for meetings is a priority. (Spending at least 2 hours a month reviewing documents.)

When communications are required, replying quickly to all Board communications or communications from the Executive Director is imperative.  You are a governing body and your expertise is needed to keep the organization going.  During Board meetings, your presence is valued and  engaging and contributing to the discussions helps move the decision process along.  It is also essential that you speak openly in support of this organization, and look for ways to further the awareness of the organization in the community.

To give adequate attention to this Board, it is helpful for you to be a financial contributor, and attend as many activities hosted by the organization which is “your reasonable service”, Romans 12:1.

Finally, we ask that you take your leadership as a Board member very seriously, and it is very apparent to those around you that this organization is a priority in your life.
